The top plate is the part onto which the cap connectors are screwed. It is connected to the middle assembly by six metal supports. It is 176mm long in diameter since it needs to meet the size constraints of the RoboCup (i.e. the robot's maximum size is 180mm in diameter and 150mm in height). It is 3D printed with PETG. The power board and the top board are connected to the top plate using Wurth spacers.
In 2022-2023 the thickness of the top plate has been increased to improve structural stability arn reduce vibration noise in the IMU sensor.
